I am providing phone support to a USA based company from home for KPO process. My annual turnover is more than 8 Lakhs. Do I have to pay service tax for this as I am operating as a sole proprietership company on my personal name.

As I read somewhere that if someone s turnover is more than 8 lakhs than he is liable to pay service tax of 12%

Please let me know that how i can minimize my income tax and also do I have to pay service tax?
